24 Hours of Action


The 24 Hours of Action will take place from April 24-25 from 2pm to 2pm for the 99th year of continued denial of the Armenian Genocide by the Republic of Turkey. April 24: 2pm to 4pm - Protesters will disseminate information about the Armenian Genocide to the public. Pamphlets will be translated into multiple languages. 4pm to 6pm - the AYF’s annual protest will take place. 6pm to midnight - “Music as Resistance” and “Art as Rebirth”: Culture an act of defiance to the genocidal system that tried to eradicate the Armenian people. Musical performances and live art. April 25: Midnight to 8am - protesters will present Gregory Stanton’s eight stages of genocide as they pertain to the Armenian Genocide and others that followed. 8am to 12pm - protesters will spread information about the Armenian Genocide and perform political street theater. 12pm to 2pm - a second protest rally will take place ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Buses will be provided on April 24 from the following locations: -Glendale - St. Mary's Church (500 S. Central Ave., Glendale) -Valley - Ferrahian Armenian School (5300 White Oak Ave., Encino) -Pasadena - Pasadena Armenian Center (2242 E. Foothill Blvd., Pasadena) Buses will leave at 2pm sharp
