This lecture focuses on how Ottoman diplomats worldwide conveyed the Armenian Deportation decision. Ekrem Yener investigates the roots of the emergence and formation of the denialist discourse and aims to shed light on how it was formed in the official narrative of the Armenian Genocide. He examines the Ottoman Archive documents and diplomatic correspondence from the Ottoman Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The lecture will explore the stages of these policies, publications, and events. It will also explore how the discourse of denial began to take shape during the early stages of the deportations.
