"Caught in the Net" is a sequel to "Run For Your Wife" (Yergou Gnig Meg Erig) which was successfully produced by the AGBU Satamian Theatre Group in 2003. In the first version, a taxi driver, Haigaz Zakarian, keeps two wives and a very precise schedule for juggling them both. With one wife, Tamar, at home in Glendale and another, Arpig, at home in Pasadena.
In "Caught in the net", which we titled "Yergou Gnig meg Erig, Yergrort Mas", eighteen years have passed, and the situation is still the same. But now, Arpig has a daughter named Shoushig who is sixteen, and Tamar, who has moved to Arcadia, has a son named Sevag, who is seventeen. By sheer luck, Sevag and Shoushig meet each other online. They fall in love and they discover that their fathers have the same name, same middle name, same age and both are taxi drivers. They decide to meet and have coffee together. When their father Haigaz, finds out about the meeting, he decides to prevent it at all cost. He enlists the help of his friend, the not-so-bright Hagop Bardizbanian, who brings along his senile father. The result is confusion, lying, and all sorts of craziness.
